Weigh-in Update

I didn’t do spectacular, but then, I’m thinking on this particular plan, I’m not supposed to do “spectular”. I think slow and steady will be the pace, and I’ll be OK with that. On the exteme plan I did before, I would lost between 7 and 10 lbs a week. But, I’m not doing that plan. I also didn’t do the plan “right” last week because I didn’t understand the protein ratio and just exactly what it was I was to do. So, there has to be some compensation for that — for eating more calories and proteins this week. If I lose between 3 and 5 lbs each week, I’ll be happy.

And this week, I lost 3 1/2 … making a total of 16 1/2 in two weeks. I just need to focus on the collective picture and not just the one week, whatever it may be. I’m doing the best I can, and thats all that matters.

I have a VBS appreciation supper to attend this evening. I dont’ really want to go; but …. I had better. At least I have a “game plan” of what I can do, and still be ok. Maybe this “not so extreme” plan is pretty OK after all. A little more realistic of living in the “real world”.

Blessings to all.

Whoo Hoo! I’m on my weigh!

  1. You did great! Living in the “real world” is where we are - can’t do anything about that. I think your plan is wise and your results are very encouraging.

  2. HURRAY!!!! for the 3.5!!!

Yep, look at the OVERALL picture, Carolyn!!! As long as you DO keep losing, the little numbers WILL add up!!! And you ARE still getting your body used to the program again, so THAT will have a tad to do with it!!! You could look at it THIS way too: that’s 3.5 pounds LESS to take off than LAST week!!! Something ELSE you also need to remember is that you went to see them on Wednesday of last week, I think? THAT would make a small difference too!!!

WILL connect with you in the next couple of days. Want you to be aware of what is going on this weekend. And I MIGHT try to connect with you and bring some Tupperware over for you to look at, so you can decide which cups you want, maybe?

  5. Sixteen and a half pounds in two weeks sounds like a lot to me. I think you’re doing great. If I decide I need to lose ten pounds it takes me forever. You’re doing really well with this. Good for you!

  6. The first week you will have a bigger weight loss as some of the weight you lost is probably fluid. 3.5 pounds is wonderful….Do a happy Dance! Good on you! Keep on keeping on!
