This would be a great weekend to go camping; but I have a feeling, until school is out, unless I want to go camping on my own, we might as well plan it as a summer activity. David is working. Ethan has an State ensemble contest he will be leaving in a little bit for. Next weekend, its State Forensics that he will be attending. Busy Busy kid.

I need to work a few more hours out to the trucking company. We have a quarterly report due Monday. Its a weekly thing with the driver’s log sheets and trip sheets. Its not bad when you keep up with it on a weekly basis. But with all the other things that have been added to my list of things to do there, I have put it off to the last minute. I really need to do it today, so David can finish up his part, which doesn’t take long, bug Monday’s ARE. NOT. a good time to try and get something like that finished up. So, if I can get it done this morning after Ethan leaves, then he’s got this afternoon, and tomorrow to try and do it in peace and quiet.

Yeah. Right.

Like he doesn’t have anything ELSE to do. When his drivers make it home for the weekend, then he gets to work all weekend making sure their trucks are all in good running condition. And he can’t take off time during the week because he has to keep the drivings rolling — translation, find/book loads, keep everything running smoothly, etc. When you deal with 11 drivers, and probably 25-30 companies that you haul for, and make sure everyone is making decent money …. its not as easy as everybody thinks. One of these days, I’m afraid, he’s going to crash and burn. Let’s hope not, but its scary to watch what all he does, and just how many hoops he has to jump through to make this all work. So, whatever I can do to make it easier for him…. thats one reasons I don’t “quit” out there, and concentrate on this “at home blogging” venture I could do. There is more money in that than there is the hourly wage of working at the office. But. If I don’t do it, then he will have to. And he has too much on his plate as it is. So…. I continue to keep all of my responsiblities in balance, and do what I can do to survive the day myself.

*sigh. Such is life.
