I was wanting to go to the bookstore when we were in Topeka earlier this week, but we ran out of time. Thats one thing I love about the computer. Yes, nothing replaces getting out there and doing actual shopping. But when circumstances or distances keeps me from being able to go to the book store (or any other store for that matter), I can just get on line and order what I want. Ethan was wanting to get a couple of books as well, so I think Amazon books is the way to go. Even David is getting on the reading bandwagon. His is more because he “has” to — he is taking a class, and it requires some reading. He normally doesn’t read, but this class has captured his interest, and you will actually find him with his nose in a book from time to time now. Will miracles ever cease?

I need to call my nutritionist tomorrow. Its been a couple of weeks since we touched base. She has been monitoring my weight loss blog, so I was just curious to how I was doing, and when we take it too the next step. I know diet pills isn’t part of the process, but there are days I wish it was. Some to just help curb my appetite. I get tired of fighting the battle all the time. We’ve done pretty good this weekend, but part of that has been because we have stayed busy. And that is probably part of it — to stay busy and not get bored. Eating because you are bored. Eating because things seem to spiral out of control. Eating because you truly are hungry. So many reasons, and when you act on all of them … things tend to get way out of balance. Which is where I am right now. But, hopefully, with the help of the nutritionist, we can turn that around.

We learned last week that Ethan’s name is getting close to be at the top of the list. The person we wanted to use to take Ethan’s senior pictures has had quite a few people call him. When I last talked to him, he said “we’ll add him to this list”. So, was thrilled to hear it won’t be much longer. He is really reasonable with his prices and the pictures are good. The other company we were considering (because they gave out a “$100 off” senior picture packages at prom last spring) we would have to take out a cash advance loan to get their pictures. Their cheapest package was like $400, and that was WITH the $100 off card. I know this is a special time in Ethan’s life, but we don’t need to spend $500 on pictures.
